The Dirt Race Central Street Stock Tour wraps up this week with three shows, the first of which was Thursday at Sheyenne Speedway in Lisbon.

There were 18 Wissota Streets on hand, not as many as some other tour stops, but keep in mind it was a Thursday night. Nine of the top 10 in points were in attendance which to me is a good night. Quality matters over quantity most of the time to me there were at least 10 cars I counted that had feature wins this season, and five of the top 10 in national points were in attendance.

This was a foot-to-the-floor kind of track with a little character, not surprising after the Lisbon area received a good amount of rain on Tuesday.  On an interesting note, Sheyenne was plagued with rainouts early but now has run six straight nights without a cancellation.

Hunter Carter of Mapleton, racing at his hometown track where he’s run a ton of laps over the years, has not had a particularly good summer in his Wissota Street Stock. Plagued with bad luck, whether it’s been poor draws or engine issues, the 19H was hungry for a feature win, and he drove like he was on a mission on Thursday.

Levi Randt of Siren was the early leader of the Wissota Street Stock feature over Hunter Carter of Mapleton with Jeff Ekdahl of North Branch in third. Tour point leader Kyle Dykhoff of Starbuck was in fourth.

The caution came out when Ryan Mund’s 3 machine went off of turn one; he went to the pits to change a tire, but it was apparent there was more damage on the 3 machine and he’d pull in. Randt resumed up front with Dykhoff pressuring Carter for second. Andrew Hanson of Iron River, Wis., moved into fourth.

Carter was all over Randt up front and would take the lead with 13 to go, the caution would wave for Tony Miller’s 80 machine that had stalled in turn one. The Browns Valley driver, who entered the night ninth in tour points, had some left-side damage.  The Wolverine Justin Vogel of Brooten, a former tour and national champion, was running in fifth.

Carter resumed the lead with 13 to go as Dykhoff went to work on Randt for second. Vogel was right there and Sam Fankhauser was fighting Hansen for fif

Carter’s lead grew to more than a second on Dykhoff. Randt would pull pitside with a problem, ending a potential top five run, moving Vogel to third, Hanson to fourth and Fankhauser to fifth. Ekdahl was not far behind Fankhauser for fifth.

Dykhoff was closing but ran out of time as Carter picked up the feature win, his first of 2025. The margin of victory was .403 seconds. Dykhoff, who won the Little Dream worth $30,100 last week, solidified his tour points lead with the runner-up finish. Vogel was third, Hanson was fourth and Fankhauser fifth.

Zach Reinke stormed to the lead of the Wissota Midwest Modified feature over Kyle Anderson of Jamestown. Cole Neset of Fargo  was running third with last week’s winner, Ryan Ost, running in fourth.

There was a tight three-car fight for fifth between Brennan Urbach of Lisbon, Kyle Langland of Enderlin and Dawson Zabel of Selby, N.D. with Langland emerging from that group.

Reinke was in firm control in his Mopar, pushing the lead to a straightaway over Anderson. Ost had worked past Neset for third with Langland in fifth.

The caution would wave with seven to go, wiping out a 3.4 second lead for Reinke, who resumed the lead on the restart. Langland would clear Neset for fourth. Ost looked like he might have something for Anderson in second but Anderson would pull away.

Reinke won at his hometown track for the first time by .604 seconds over Anderson. Ost was third, Langland fourth and Neset picked up his second top five of the season in fifth.

First-time visitor Bodie Croninger of Watertown was the early leader of the Gen X Late Model feature with Jeff Nelson of Perham running second. Kevin Youngquist of Barney was running third but had a challenge from Alex Tschakert of Kent. Jarrett Huus of Fergus Falls was running fifth and close behind Tschakert.

Two cars pulled in with mechanical issues early – Andrew Tysdal of Fergus Falls, who started on the pole, and Collin Compson of Valley City.

Croninger’s lead was 1.7 seconds with 12 laps to go. Youngquist had about two car lengths on Tschakert for third with Huus and Cade Skytland of Kindred giving chase. The caution waved with seven to go when Huus slid off with seven to go.

Skytland made a big charge on the restart up into second and looked to track down Croninger, who had a 1.2 second lead with three to go.  Skytland cut the gap almost in half but fell short as Croninger picked up his second win of 2025. Skytland was second, Nelson third, Tschakert fourth and Huus was fifth.

Regan Reinke led early in the INEX Legends feature but Sean Johnson of Kindred was flying on the outside and would take the top spot. Clay Smith of Wahpeton, who rolled his car at Red River Valley Speedway, was third with teammates Dusty Mund of Lisbon and Bo Gregor of Lisbon fighting for fourth.

Smith had his handles full with both Mund and Gregor as Reinke pressured Johnson for the top spot, using the lower lane.  Ty Olson of Mandan soon was in the fight for third as Smith was getting all kinds of heat from about four cars in what was a dogfight for position.

Reinke and Johnson were having a tremendous fight for the lead as Olson was charging quickly. Mund’s 28 got turned in turn three to bring out the second caution as things were intensifying at the front of the pack.

Reinke was the leader on the restart after edging ahead of Johnson, and the battle resumed on the restart between Reinke, Johnson and Olson. With six to go, however, Reinke went off of turn three after some apparent contact with Olson, who was charged with the yellow.

Johnson had edged ahead at the last completed lap and would hold the top spot with four to go. Kody Machart of Moorhead had quietly moved into the top four and was right on Reinke’s tail.  Olson, who had gone to the tail, was completely flying on the high side and back in the top three.

Reinke made the move for the lead with two to go with Machart in tow, and in was a fight the checkered as Reinke would hold on for a .048 second win – his first at his hometown track to the delight of the Lisbon crowd. Machart settled for a close second with Olson third, Johnson fourth and Gregor fifth. His dad, Zach, who has won a bunch of features at Sheyenne, was a proud father in victory lane.

There were only three cars who took the green for the hobby stock feature after a bad crash in the heat race ended the nights for a pair of cars..  Billy Carow of Jamestown entered the night with a 20-point lead over Brent Wilkinson of Jamestown in the standings, and that grew with a dominant 5.4 second win over Braiden Mund on Thursday. Dalton Aabrekke finished third.  Wilkinson and Ryker Vetter were involved in the crash on the frontstretch in the heat and were done for the night.

Mason Bogart moved out front of Nathan Kelley in the Mini Stock feature with the I-94 King of the Dirt champion, Hunter Goulet of Fargo, running in third. Chandler Dick was fourth and Pokey Lukes of Lisbon was fifth.

Bogart checked out on the field as Kelley was battling Chandler Dick for second with the 66 moving into the spot.  Kelley, however would pull off in what was a tough break for the 80K.

Bogart ran away with an easy win by more than a straightaway over Dick with Goulet, the point leader at Sheyenne, crossing in third. Lukes was fourth and Cameryn Taylor of Hankinson was fifth.

NCR wins to Dvergsten, Schow, Wagner, Olson and Thomas

Dexter Dvergsten of Greenbush won the opening night of the Lightning Sprint Nationals Thursday at Norman County Raceway in Ada with Chris Crowder of Colorado Springs taking second. Kate Taves of Detroit Lakes was third, Matthew Taves of Detroit Lakes was fourth and Grant Sexton of Lakeside was fifth.

Ryan Schow of McIntosh topped Rich Pavlicek of Casselton for the Wissota Midwest Modified feature win. Taylor Jacobson of Roseau was third, Noah McFarlane of Brandon fourth and Aaron Blacklance of Thief River Falls was fifth.

Andy Wagner of Ada topped Kyle VanMil of Barnesville for the IMCA Sport Mod win. Ryan Restad of West Fargo was third and Cayden Westcott of Ada was fourth.

Aaron Olson of Mekinock topped Todd Heinrich of Fargo for the IMCA Stock Car win. Kalvin Kesselberg of Ada was third, Daniel Aberle of Finley was fourth and Brennan Borg of Harwood was fifth.

Joseph Thomas of Glyndon won the Wissota Modified feature with Tyler Peterson of Hickson taking second. Bryce Borgen of Perley was third, Travis Saurer of Elizabeth was fourth and Brock Gronwold of Fergus Falls was fifth.

Bryce Mueller topped Camden Kelsen of Breckenridge for the Hornet feature win with Chris Nelson of Fergus Falls taking third. Kody Crabtree of Fargo was fourth and Emma Schlesser of Fergus Falls was fifth.
