
RaceChaser blog is recapping the month of June at the area tracks, so here’s a look back:
—Brodee Eckerdt, 14, of Grand Forks, won his first career IMCA Hobby Stock feature at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo on June 6.
—Cody the Cobra Lee of Alexandria won the TOP GUN Wissota Midwest Modified feature on June 6 at Jamestown Speedway, picking up $750. Lee had four feature wins in June, all coming at four different tracks, including Sheyenne Speedway on June 21.
—Steve Nordhagen, 64, of Thief River Falls won his first career IMCA Hobby Stock feature on June 11 at Norman County Raceway. He is a third-year racer.
—Corey Storck of Morris picked up his second Wissota Midwest Modified feature at Sheyenne Speedway on June 14; that win was part of the TOP GUN special at Sheyenne and the win was worth $750.
—Todd Heinrich of Fargo and Rick Schulz of Horace won the King Pin Klash IMCA Stock Car specials at Norman County Raceway and Red River Valley Speedway, respectively on June 11 and 12th, respectively.
—Schulz, by the way, leads area IMCA Stock Car drivers with three feature wins.

—Austin Arneson of Fargo (10 pictured above) won the $2,222-to-win Don Gumke Memorial at Jamestown Speedway on June 13. He won four IMCA Modified features in the month of June.
—Kelsi Pederson of East Grand Forks has four POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints this season, three have come in the month of June.
—Tye Wilke of Detroit Lakes has 10 INEX Legends wins this season to lead area drivers and nine came in the month of June.

—Jeffrey Schwind Jr. of Jamestown (3, pictured above) won the second annual Jeff Carpenter Memorial at Jamestown Speedway on June 20.
—Justin Hainline of Lisbon won his first career Mini Stock feature on June 21 at Sheyenne Speedway.
—Austin Pierce of Grand Forks won the first three NOSA Sprint features at River Cities Speedway in the month of June. Jade Hastings ended that streak — and picked up a bounty bonus — on June 26.
—Eric Riley of Morris and Jonny Carter of Lisbon each have two feature wins on the Steffes Street Stock Tour so far. Justin Vogel of Brooten has the other win, at Sheyenne Speedway
—Seth Klostreich of Grand Forks picked up his first career Wissota Street Stock win on June 26 at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks. Klostreich held off repeated challenges from John Halvorson for his first-ever win.

—Kyle Anderson of Jamestown won his first career Wissota Street Stock feature at Sheyenne Speedway on June 21. He then proceeded to win a few days later at Tri-County Speedway in Wishek and Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen.

—Later that evening, veteran Tom Corcoran, 65, of East Grand Forks (T-1 Pictured Above) won the Wissota Late Model feature at RCS. The 51-year racing veteran now has a feature win in six different decades.
Daniel Harstad of Fergus Falls has two Short Tracker wins this season at I-94 Sure Step Speedway
—Tanner Engen of Detroit Lakes won his first IMCA Hobby Stock feature on June 12 at Red River Valley Speedway. He’s now won three features in a row at RRVS.
—Andrew Jochim of Glyndon won several features in the legends class but picked up his first career IMCA Stock Car win on June 26 at Red River Valley Speedway.
—Veteran Brad Seng of Grand Forks won the Golden Hammer NLRA Late Model Challenge at Devils Lake Speedway on June 27. He took home $2,000 for the win.
—The Braseth brothers — Ryan and Alex of Ulen — won back-to-back INEX Legend features at Sheyenne Speedway in Lisbon on June 21 and 28, respectively.
—Joe Armstrong of Crary has won three straight Pure Stock features at Devils Lake Speedway. -- Ryan Satter of Dent has won all three Wissota Street Stock features at I-94 Sure Step Speedway.
—First time visitor Jess Brekke of Devils Lake scored the upset win in the Dakota Dream’s Wissota Midwest Modified feature later that night. It was just Brekke’s second night out of 2020 and his first win since 2017, and it was worth $2.000.
—On June 28, Todd Carter of Lisbon won an epic three-car battle with Jonny Carter and Eric Riley to win the Wissota Street Stock Dakota Dream at Sheyenne Speedway in Lisbon. The trio ran three wide for almost a dozen laps and put on one of the best shows of the season. Todd Carter took home $1,000 for the win. He has six wins overall and four came in June.
