Many of us are tied of hearing about the Coronavirus on a minute-by-minute basis. Don’t get me wrong, it is a serious situation and in no way am I downplaying it, but the constant social media/media coverage is stressful and tiring. So is the bulls--- and nonsense about it. No this blog is not about the virus.
In the next few weeks until racing season starts, I will keep plugging away with the RaceChaser blog with as many posts as I can. And yes, we will have a racing season. Have faith.
I’ll do some season previews on the six remaining tracks in the area (Viking Speedway and Sheyenne Speedway are done) plus on tours like the Challenge Series, NLRA Late Models, NOSA Sprints, Advantage RV Tour, etc.. I’ll also do some other features as time allows.
One thing I’m going to do in the weeks ahead is a blast from the past on some drivers who’ve stepped away or retired from area tracks but were well known in their day. It may be someone from decades ago who a driver who retired more recently, like within the last 5-10 years. Just to talk about memories of the past.
I am more than open to suggestions and Ames for this. I have some names in mind but could always use more. Particularly from Sheyenne Speedway, Jamestown, River Cities and Norman County Raceway. As time allows I hope to compile several of these stories. Send me a PM on Facebook or fill out the form below.
I appreciate everyone’s support and following of this blog. I hope I can be a little distraction for race fans from the stresses what is currently going on in our world.
I also thank the sponsors who’ve come on board to support the blog. They are invaluable.
