
The second annual Howie Schill Memorial Late Model race is set for this Saturday at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo with added money on the line this year.
The race is an NLRA Late Model show and is part of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car show at RRVS.
The late model feature winner will walk away with $2,404 on Saturday night. The race will be $444 to start in the 24-car field.
Driver Cole Schill, son of Howie Schill, said about $6,000 was raised above the normal NLRA purse for Saturday’s show.
Howie Schill was a long-time late model driver in the Red River Valley who passed away in Dec. 2020 at the age of 55.
Mike Greseth of Harwood, the defending NLRA series champion and also the current point leader, won the inaugural Howie Schill Memorial in Aug. 2021 at Red River Valley Speedway.
Schill Construction has added a $444 Hard Charger bonus for Saturday as well.
